Meet Marchella

A neighbor. A mother. A lifelong learner. For Marchella, Central Community House has never just been a building — it's been home for nearly six decades, and it still is.

  • "I love having someone to talk to and to learn new skills."

    — Marchella, on the impact of CCH

A Safe Haven Across Generations

For nearly 58 years, Central Community House has been a constant source of belonging for Marchella. As a child, she found community within its walls. As a parent, she watched her own children build confidence through summer camp and after school programs. And today, as an older adult, she still walks through the same doors to learn, connect and grow.

Through the Technology Access Program, Marchella has gained confidence navigating digital tools, and she participates in senior social groups, crafting circles, and art classes. "I love getting out of the house," she shares. "I love having someone to talk to and to learn new skills."

For Marchella, CCH represents opportunity at every stage of life. A place where generations come together and everyone belongs.

"Marchella is the embodiment of what it means to be a lifelong neighbor. She has given to this community, and this community gives back to her."
