The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio awards annual grant

The Women’s Fund is investing $264,500 in 16 organizations to support their innovative, crucial programming for women and girls in Central Ohio.

A central theme of the programs selected this year is elevating women’s voices. From increasing civic engagement for AAPI women to expanding access to childcare, these grant partners are creating long-term, systemic change for women and girls. They are laying the groundwork for a more equitable world for women and girls through their tireless work and advocacy.

Here are just a few stats about this year’s group of partners:

  • 44% of selected programs have never been funded by WFCO before

  • 88% of selected programs are specifically focused on women and girls of color

  • 81% of selected programs are led by a woman of color or a gender-expansive person of color

These stats matter because they tell the story of our grantmaking goals: find and fund critical programs that are created by and for those who experience inequity the most. Keep reading to meet our 2024 partners!
